SummarySupports the sales & use tax compliance and audit process, resale certificate maintenance process and property tax compliance and audit process. Also supports special projects as necessary.
Responsibilities

• Resale Certificate ("RC") Management:
  • Maintain customer RC history files and prepare RC packages for customer review
  • Interact with customers to review RC packages and obtain consent regarding their state exemption status
  • Update and maintain the RC master file and Vertex software
  • Manage the collection and retention of paper and electronic customer RC documentation
  • Assist with providing RC documentation in support of audits
  • Sales & Use Tax and Property Tax Compliance Support:
    • E-file sales & use tax and property tax returns
    • Prepare related tax payment vouchers and check requests and initiate ACH credit payments
    • Prepare returns for filing (copying, scanning, certified mail receipts, etc.) and ensure paper and electronic retention of tax returns and supporting documents
    • Obtain and save invoices related to purchases of fixed assets and supplies for use tax compliance and audit support
    • Assist with related tax research projects
    • Unclaimed Property Support:
      • Support the mailing and tracking of unclaimed property due diligence letters by state and type
      • Special projects as necessary
        Qualifications
        • Bachlors Degree Required with 1-3 years relevant experience
        • Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
        • Experience with Vertex and ONESOURCE Sales and Use Tax software package is a plus
