Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in the waste management
sector in the U.S. Northeast, is seeking a skilled Operations Site
Manager to oversee our transfer operations. The successful
candidate will be crucial in supporting our mission to manage waste
responsibly and sustainably. You will lead the transfer operations
at our facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental policies,
optimizing operational processes, and maintaining safety standards.
Manage daily operations of waste transfer stations and ensure
operational targets are met. Oversee the transfer of waste while
ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Implement
and monitor systems to maximize safety and efficiency within the
site. Lead, train, and develop site personnel to ensure a
high-performing team. Conduct regular site inspections and audits
to adhere to health and environmental standards. Collaborate with
other departments to improve site logistics and reduce operational
costs. Prepare reports on site performance and operational issues
for senior management review. Respond effectively to emergencies
and unexpected site issues. Proven ability in team management and
leadership. Strong understanding of operational logistics and
resource management. Excellent problem-solving skills and the
ability to make quick decisions. Familiarity with waste management
practices and sustainability initiatives. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills. Certified Waste Management Professional
(CWMP) preferred. OSHA Safety Certification.
