Job Description
The Network Reliability Engineer will work within a dedicated team of automation and reliability engineers tasked with improving the availability, reliability, and scalability of NBC's global network infrastructure. The selected candidate will implement operational toolsets, develop network configuration improvements, and provide critical capacity planning to ensure network redundancy, load, latency, and monitoring are managed across all NBC's network ecosystems (backbone, cloud, Internet, campus, content).

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years implementing commercial and open-source network monitoring and operational tools.
• 2+ years of experience in network engineering or network-centric software development.
• Experience with high-availability network designs and associated protocols; Dual-ISP, first-hop redundancy, geo-diverse failover, cloud regionality/availability zones.
• Experience with network collection protocols; NetFlow, Syslog, Model Driven Telemetry.
• Network protocol experience and understanding of fundamental configuration techniques with some of the following: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VLAN, VRF.
  Preferred Qualifications
  
  • Experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git to deploy networks at scale.
  • Experience developing automated solutions for event notifications, escalation, and resolution of network events.
