Payments and Receivables works closely with Anti-Money Laundering
Compliance Risk Management (ACRM) function globally to drive a
range of issues including compliance with AML regulatory and legal
requirements, client implementations and processing rules,
assessment of operational structures for new products from an AML
perspective, guidance and oversight for transformational
technology/ infrastructure initiatives, and review payment schemes
that may result in reputational/ franchise risk for Citi.
The Payments and Receivables AML Services Product Manager is a
senior level role responsible for developing the Global framework
and program structure for AML in digital payments. - The role
holder will drive the development of internal procedures to prevent
money laundering and assist in all matters concerning financial
crimes in coordination with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
team. -The overall objective for this role is to supply senior
level AML strategies for Digital payments companies.
The AML Services Product Manager will report to the P&R Global
Head of AML Services.
Responsibilities:
Understand digital payment products, trends, typologies, and
technologies and assess the AML risks associated with the same.
Track emerging trends and typologies and ensure communication to
relevant stakeholders.
Work closely with the Global Head of Banking as a Service in
developing new products for fintechs, and platform clients
Lead the global AML funds transfer program implementation
Lead the regulatory remediation programs related to data
deficiencies
Provide global TTS Product Development and Payment Operations teams
with day-to-day support on AML compliance matters relating to
client on-boarding and maintenance (including implementations and
processing rules), product and service launches, and client issue
escalations/ exits.
Utilize information from global regulatory changes, new
regulations, and internal policy changes to further identify new
key risk areas
Skills and Competencies:
Solid Understanding of the mechanics of third-party payments. -
Experience/ knowledge of payment products and services. (Strong
background in Cash operations or Cash Customer Service is a
plus.)
Good understanding of the emerging e-commerce and Fintech space
Good understanding and comfort with technology, data analytics,
etc. -
Knowledge and experience in AML within an international
environment
Knowledge of APAC, US and EMEA AML laws and regulations and FATF
recommendations
Ability to draw conclusions from a comprehensive assessment of
multiple data points and express those conclusions clearly and
succinctly to senior management in the business and in AML. -
Aptitude to independently determine what is material, relevant and
actionable. - -
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with
stakeholders in the business. - Ability to ensure sound risk
management practices while recognizing and demonstrating
sensitivity to competing interests. -
Ability to identify and assess the long-term effects of decisions
and solutions on customers and the business.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure, present a credible
challenge to the business and when required, articulate difficult
positions to clients. -
Comfort and confidence presenting at Citi compliance summits and
other similar events.
Successfully employs personal curiosity.
Excellent work ethic (respectful, honest, considerate,
self-motivated, can work independently without supervision, works
well under pressure, readily adapts to changing work
priorities).
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant work experience within a medium or large
Financial Institution
3+ years work experience in AML compliance, risk, or a
control-related function
Significant experience within payments and cash management
businesses, with a particular focus on product management,
development, operations, and technology functions
Knowledge of AML laws and regulations, including a general and
broad understanding of key AML and reputational risks (PEPs,
Sanctions, AB&C, etc.) required
A background in general compliance/ legal/ audit, and candidates
who can demonstrate an understanding of Citi AML policies and
procedures, will be considered a plus
Proven track record of delivering results in a challenging and
changing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education:
Ideal candidates must be a university graduate with a 4 Year
bachelor's degree
