Job Summary
Benjamin Moore is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our Digital Products team at our Corporate Headquarters in Montvale, NJ.

This key role will help manage a portfolio of digital products with a best-in-class digital customer experience. Working as one of the three primary members of an Agile Release Train's (ART) Program Team you will collaborate with Business Owner(s), Stakeholders and other ART cross-functional teams and resources. Together you will help define, annotate, and prioritize a Feature Backlog for high customer value product offerings. The role requires that the individual be a self-starter with demonstrated skills collaborating with both internal and 3rd party teams responsible for innovative product development.

Key Focus Areas

  • Strategy Development - You will play a key role in defining the strategic direction of our various digital platforms, defining and articulating new opportunities, and working in close contact with key stakeholders
  • Voice of the Customer - Thoroughly understand and represent the customer's problems as well as the business's goals and objectives, and represent that point of view daily across multiple products
  • Product Roadmap - Envision, articulate, and size new product enhancements designed to achieve a remarkable experience for our customers. Prioritize and manage product backlogs, increments, and releases in a SAFe process in collaboration with the digital, Product and IT teams. Manage, define, design, and implement key digital initiatives by understanding business needs and translating them into business requirements structured as "Features" for the development team(s) to populate their story backlogs.
  • Communication - Must be able to clearly communicate strategy and goals to product teams. Work closely with Benjamin Moore's development and design teams to realize new features.
  • Data Analysis - Gather and expose business opportunities through research, data analysis, user experience analysis and testing, competitive research, and any other relevant tools. Identify key KPIs and OKRs for both customer and business impact. Collaborate with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and Systems Architect to provide corporate leadership with targeted dashboards on the ART's health and delivery metrics.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborates with a wide range of people to identify and define customer needs, understand the Solution Context, and develop the Program Vision, Roadmap, and Features required to meet these needs.
    • Must have a passion for being product obsessed while continually driving the evolution of product features based on a data-driven, analytics-based approach.
    • Responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet customer needs over the product-market lifecycle.
    • Always striving to provide the highest customer value in the shortest sustainable lead-time.
    • Works with business SMEs to identify customer needs and understand the business context
    • Owns the Program backlog by defining features including acceptance criteria, NFRs, Acceptance Tests (e.g. BDD) and benefit hypothesis
    • In collaboration with the ART Program and Agile Teams Refines, Manages and Prioritizes the program backlog continuously which prepares the ART for each Program Increment (PI) planning.
    • Collaborates with Agile Release Train (ART) stakeholders to align on scope and expectations for the next PI
    • Collocates (ideally) with business domain SMEs (e.g., sales, marketing) and customer segment owners
    • Coordinates with other ART resources during weekly ART syncs to coordinate dependencies across the ART's agile development teams
    • Reviews and validates PI's output of working software through acceptance/rejection of features
    • Participates in Feature Refinement, Program Increment Planning, system demo and Increment's Inspect and Adapt workshop.
    • Works with QA Lead to guide Product Owners and Business SMEs through automated testing requirements
    • Works with Product Owners, UX Lead, Customer Insights Lead and Customer Segment Owners to participate in and lead user research to identify product enhancements and opportunities

      Required Knowledge & Desired Skills

      • Experience working with stakeholders, managing expectations, and balancing competing priorities
      • Experience in omnichannel product development - desktop, tablet and mobile product development. Ability to frame solutions with a forward-looking strategic roadmap.
      • Strong business and experience mindset with the ability to set strategic priorities
      • Proven experience in product development, user experience design, customer journeys, and product lifecycle management
      • Comprehensive experience with accessibility standards and their implementation including ADA and 508.
      • Continuous understanding and exploration of customer's needs
      • Data-driven experience with defining and tracking metrics / KPIs / OKRs for decision making
      • Passionate, empathetic and invested to provide a better customer experience
      • Experience with geographically distributed teams
      • Working knowledge of eCommerce business domain
      • 5+years of experience in Agile as a Product Manager, Business SME or Product Owner
      • 4+ years of experience with Agile tools and technologies (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
      • Excellent organizational, time management, judgment, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Strong Product Management skills including the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams/resources
      • Proven ability to successfully lead and deliver critical, enterprise-level initiatives
      • Ability to set and meet long-term goals while maintaining high-quality work standards.
      • Ability to collaborate while maintaining independent judgment, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
      • BS degree is required. Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
      • Experience with B2C and B2B Digital Commerce and Marketing Technology platforms (Highly desirable)
      • Certified SAFe Practitioner (SP) and/or SAFe Product Owner and SAFe Product Manager (POPM) course (Highly desirable)
