communities.Samsung is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager /
Vendor Relationship Manager to join the Digital Appliances team.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management for Dacor Luxury
Appliances, the OEM Procurement Manager is responsible for
identifying and sourcing key OEM appliance products for both Dacor
and Samsung Builder channels, to address core target audience needs
for the US market.The role will work closely with the Dacor and
Samsung Product Marketing teams domestically, and the HQ Global
Procurement team to ensure continuous supply of compelling OEM
products for both existing and new product categories. This role
will also provide strategic thought-leadership in planning,
developing and executing OEM roadmaps, and ensuring successful
introductions for both Dacor and Builder channels with a strong
understanding of both remodeling and new build requirements.
Finally, the role will have visibility to leaders and upper
management, to whom findings and planned actions will be reported
on a consistent basis.Role and ResponsibilitiesRoles and
Responsibilities:
- Establish and Manage OEM vendor relationships to identify new
product category opportunities
- Define OEM sourcing requirements for appliances to satisfy
customer/market needs for both Luxury and Builder channels within
US Market
- Develop and execute sourcing strategy & roadmap to ensure
complete product assortment with OEM providers
- Support procurement of OEM items and release of manufacturing
orders to meet customer demand
- OEM Create PO releases based on Forecast/Customer Orders
- Maintaining monthly and quarterly supplier business unit
reviews
- New Product Introductions Serve as member/resource on project
teams
- OEM Product sales forecasting to ensure optimal inventory
positionSkills and QualificationsNecessary Skills / Attributes:
- 6 - 8 years of experience in Procurement required (experience
with Electronics components or finished appliances preferred).
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or
Business, or related fields preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal
and written
- Contract management and negotiations skills
- Experience in working with multi-cultural teams, and ability to
present/engage with various levels of management
- High proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and
PowerPoint a mustTravel:
- Up to 20% travel required for domestic and/or international
travel to affiliate sites and suppliers.Samsung Electronics
