Position Overview:The Executive Director of Product Management, Monitor will lead Samsung's monitor business in both the enterprise and consumer business areas. This role should deliver on revenue, market share and people management goals in line with those from the executive leadership team. In this role, the executive director will lead the overall business, go-to-market strategy development, and drive day-to-day execution of key business areas, while also being accountable for the P&L. This is a leadership role and will be responsible for delivering overall monitor #1 market share and continuing double digit revenue growth in the US market. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead product marketing as well as the development and execution of all go-to-market strategies related to the monitor business (B2C & B2B)
  • Partner with the Sales and Business Development teams to drive new/repeat monitor sales working in close collaboration with end user and channel sales teams
  • Work with leadership on product roadmap decisions, strategic investments to grow and key market expansion
  • Manage a diverse 10 person team of Directors, Sr. Product Managers, Sr. Product Sales/Business Development Managers, Analysts and a Retail Merchandising Manager
  • Analyze data and business trends to improve division's profits and minimize loss
  • Dynamic and high-energy presentation skills to motivate internal employees and external partners on Samsung's Monitor strategies
  • Use creativity to strengthen the business and increase market share
  • Make sound financial decisions and reduce costs that can positively impact the business
  • Ability to manage the business in a high-pressure, rapidly changing business environment while not losing focus on the foundational areas of the business
  • Comfortable working in a subsidiary where daily flow of information back to Samsung HQ (South Korea) is expected
  • Support and coach your team members to support the company's growth objectives while fostering an agenda focused on work-life balance, diversity & inclusion and employee health Background/Experience Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or marketing from an accredited college or university; a Master's Degree in business or marketing is preferred.
    • 15+ years professional experience
    • 8-15 years' experience in big brand product marketing or marketing/communications. Experience with commercial technologies or consumer electronics preferred.
    • Understanding of key product marketing fundamentals including product lifecycle management, pricing, promotions, distribution, supply chain & inventory management, P&L management.
    • Proven relationship-building skills with developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within teams, business units and large organizations, both inside and outside the company.
    • Passion for driving growth through innovative product management and GTM strategies, and for solving complex problems.
    • Good understanding of commercial & consumer sales, both end user and channel, as well as all RTMs (Retail, Distribution, NSPs, Alliances, Systems Integrators VARs & .coms).
    • Ability to the strategically and translate that into plans and tactical actions, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete objectives under multiple deadlines while leading others to do the same.
    • Exceptional team leader with ability to prioritize competing demands and maximize team performance.
      Necessary Skills and Attributes:Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels within the internal and external organizations. The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership, directors and managers with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple strategic programs and simultaneous performance objectives. The ability to write, read, interpret, explain and act based on a thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials and contracts or related documents. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to support a cross-functional Samsung team to achieve customer contracted objectives and specific team goals within established time frames and requirements. Assist in and if needed direct the Samsung team in lab and field trials related to introduction of products sold to the customer.
