POSITION SUMMARY:
Strategic Marketing Manager will work closely with the marketing
director to support the strategic development and execution of
marketing activities for dietary supplements, functional foods,
infant formula and pharma applications for Balchem's Minerals and
Nutrients (M&N) ingredients. The successful candidate will
quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of the M&N business,
customers and build effective marketing campaigns to drive the
business and brands forward. The individual must combine proven
experience in B2B with a strong understanding of M&N
marketplace.
The individual will be responsible for the execution of the growth
strategy for the M&N brands, driving and launching innovation
by participating in product development teams, for monitoring
market trends, acting as the Brand expert with Customers. This role
requires regular interface with a broad cross functional team,
including sales, business development, R&D and innovation. The
individual will serve as the internal experts in market trends and
bring best practices in both B2B marketing to M&N business.
This position requires a deep understanding of marketing, strategy
development, value proposition development, new premium ingredient
launch along with strong people skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
--- Develop and execute customer requirements, business plans,
product positioning, and launch plans
--- Identify opportunities for new products ideas, build business
case and be the marketing lead to manage new product pipeline
--- Initiate and manage marketing campaigns to launch new products
and track financial KPIs
--- Develop strong relationship at strategic customers and gain
customer feedback on current as well as future products in
development
--- Cooperate closely with marketing communications team and
external agencies, manage development and execution of marketing
campaigns for the Minerals and Nutrient Business to deliver defined
KPI's
--- Drive accelerated demand generation by developing and
implementing differentiated and compelling value propositions
--- Work closely with sales to develop key customer growth
strategies, targeted presentations, purposeful product
demonstrations, and best in class customer experience
engagement
--- Develop and manage the positioning of minerals portfolio into
targeted applications, channels and end use markets
--- Serve as brand champion of minerals and nutrients, ensuring
alignment with brand positioning and customer compliance of
branding guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
--- 2-3 years of marketing experience in dietary supplements
ingredients and/or food and beverage ingredients industry.
--- Strong understanding of B2B marketing tools and messaging;
knowledge of B2C marketing desirable
--- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
preferably in business or a technical discipline. MBA is highly
desirable.
--- Strong innovative mindset with proven track record of
successfully launching premium, science-based ingredients in health
and nutrition space
--- Understanding and successful applications of how to enable
teams across a matrix organization
--- Decisive planning and execution skills while maintaining a good
judgement in a fast-paced environment
--- Uncompromising attitude towards the values of the company and
safety at workplace
--- Strong analytical skills, experience with metrics, KPI's, CRM,
Power BI and web analytics
