Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVES: The Scientist in Late-Stage Analytical Development will play an integral role in driving Takeda lead Cell Therapy programs. The successful candidate will report to the scientist in CTTE Late Stage Analytical Development, develop methods to support release and characterization of DS/DP and advance Takeda---s cell therapies programs. He/She will independently plan and execute lab activities including assay development, product characterization and assay qualification. He/She will prepare study protocols, reports, technology documents and communicate study results at team or department meetings and to external partners or conferences. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Support analytical characterization of lead candidates in cell therapies Develop, and qualify phase appropriate analytical methods for clinical stage programs Author and review analytical methods, qualification protocols and technical reports Review, analyze and interpret statistical data Independently designs and executes experiments Analyze experimental data and ensure timely documentation and record keeping in Electronic Notebook. Stay updated on new, relevant technologies and published literature to drive innovation within the group. DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS: Education, Behavioral Competencies: Required: Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science and 8 years relevant industry experience Masters degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 6 years relevant industry experience PhD in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0 years relevant industry experience Knowledge and Skills: Effective time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Deep expertise in analytical methods for biologics characterization and commercial release Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems, and determine causes and possible solutions Teamwork - Ability to work well in highly cross-functional team environment and across global line functions. Experience with cell based assays including flow cytometry, cytotoxicity, multiplexed cytokine and ELISA Previous, experience in GxP, cell therapy or biologics development is preferred.
