Job Description Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Bergen County, has an immediate need for experienced Interventional Radiology Technician to join their growing team in Englewood. Our candidate choice will provide patient services using imaging modalities. You will perform angiographic and radiographic procedures at a highly technical level and demonstrate service excellence in all interactions by exemplifying SE standards. REQUIRED DUTIES: Prepare special procedure room and equipment for procedures Clean and disinfect special procedure room and equipment Prepare patient for exams and procedures, explain procedure and transfer patient to table and position patient Ensure that patients are as comfortable as possible during exam and while waiting for transport before and after exam Sets exposure factors, injection flow rates and film programming Prepare tray and contract media using sterile technique when necessary Use sterile technique when preparing patient and tray as required Assists radiologist/physician during procedures Uses mobilization devices and provides lead shields to produce quality radiographs and provide radiation protection Observes patient and machine during procedures Interacts with patients and responds to his/her needs within a context which recognizes the growth and development process, or the aging process of that patient Maintains knowledge base of special imaging enhancement techniques, performs same when required Works with the nursing staff and physicians to ensure optimum patient safety and care Operate our computer system to obtain necessary information concerning the patient and ensure the necessary accessory equipment is provided Must be able to choose the appropriate tray as specified by procedure Ensures that stock levels are appropriate by informing appropriate personnel of the departments needs Informs supervisors of stock levels Teaches students and technologists about angiographic procedures and sterile technique Maintain necessary supplies in the rooms Maintain accurate records of studies done and schedules exams when necessary Responsible for knowledge of McKesson programs pertaining to IR REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology Minimum of one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist Must be ARRT certified and hold current NJ state license One year training under special procedure technologist CPR certified Please apply today for immediate consideration Elgen Staffing is the fastest growing staffing agency in New Jersey.
