Job Description:
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing direct psychiatric evaluation, medical
assessment and intervention to mentally ill individuals in the
community who are experiencing, or at risk of, an acute
psychological crisis. Provides consultation and education to
program staff, other agencies and other disciplines, including
other services of VNS Health. Assists in the overall functioning of
the ACT team. Works under general direction. Licensure: Board
certification or eligibility required. New York State Physicians
License required. Education: Medical degree from an accredited
college of medicine required. Completion of residency program in
psychiatry required. Experience: Two years of experience in working
with patients in mental health setting preferred.
