Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Westwood, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,772 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: NICU RN Level II Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP, NRP Advanced, STABLE Must-Have: Epic charting system experience Description: The position requires a NICU RN Level II. The shift is 3x12 hour nights. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred. Epic charting system experience is required. Travel experience is not required. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 2. Key skills include: insulin administration, attending high-risk deliveries, and providing support for breastfeeding. The nurse should be capable of performing procedures such as blood glucose monitoring and phototherapy. Experience with handling of breast milk, feeding (bottle, breast, gavage), and placement/management of oral/nasogastric tubes is needed. Knowledge of isolation precautions and managing neonatal conditions such as sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia, and respiratory distress syndrome is essential. The nurse should be familiar with starting and maintaining IVs, managing arterial and central lines, and performing lumbar punctures. Other responsibilities include patient and family teaching and developmental care for neonates. The position requires handling various neonatal medications, including antibiotics, antivirals, and anti-seizure medications. Ventilator management experience is also necessary.
