Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Experience with general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, and monitored care - Charting system experience required Description: This position involves working in the recovery room. Nurses will care for patients recovering from surgery, including general, orthopedics, ortho spine, and robotic surgeries. Call and weekend coverage are required. Nursing staff are provided with scrubs. Candidates must be able to manage various modalities of anesthesia. Experience in patient ratio of 1-2 is essential. Previous charge experience is a plus. Daily patient care involves performing assessments and managing post-operative conditions. The role requires support in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety. Essential skills include recognition and management of dysrhythmias, administration of emergency medications, and general patient care protocols. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team are essential. Candidates must be proficient in various surgical and post-operative procedures.
