The new hire will be part of the bioanalytical group within the global DMPK department working at 35 Landsdowne St, Cambridge, MA. The requisition is for looking for a creative and productive person with excellent skills in ligand binding assay-based quantification of protein and other large molecule modalities in several biological matrices. You are expected to perform innovative method development for large molecule quantifications, trouble-shoot bioanalytical assay related issues, and identify/adopt/develop new technologies to meet the needs of projects together with important partners such as DMPK project representatives, Drug Discovery Units (DDUs), DSRE and QTS groups. Experience applying several instrumental tools for bioanalysis, including ELISA, MSD-based assays.

ACOUNTABILITIES:
Be the lead bioanalytical scientist on projects or DMPK bioanalytical representative to work with DMPK and Oncology DDU project members.

Support early drug discovery and translational research by providing high quality bioanalytical support with a focus on large molecule quantification especially through ELISA, ECL (e.g. Meso Scale Discovery), Luminex, Sally Sue, Simoa, and other relevant platform technologies. Communicate with your partners regarding the assay needs, progress updates, and DMPK bioanalytical deliverables.

Apply independent creative thinking and lab work in seeking solutions for moving projects forward. Prior experience in cell culture, biological sample handling, protein conjugation/purification, immunoprecipitation, PCR is a plus. Design and test new methodologies and processes that contribute to the research goals of the group/department. Guide junior research associate scientists.

Present the experimental result in the project team, BA group and DMPK department meetings. Seek for opportunities for updating professional skills through training or participating in conferences. Encouraged to contribute in external presentations and publications.

Provide scientific monitoring and guidance of external resources (CRO) for the method transfer, development, trouble shooting, qualification, validation and report to support drug discovery and nonclinical development programs. Help manage CRO sample and data flow logistics.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

The applicant must have a degree in biology, immunology or related fields with 0-3 years (Ph.D.) or 4-6 years (MS) of relevant industry research experience.

Experience in the bioanalytical and biomarker assay development by ELISA/MSD for large molecule bioanalytical assays.

You must demonstrate an exceptional publication record as a lead author of a high level of creativity and problem-solving capabilities.

Must be detail oriented with excellent inter-personal skills and oral and written communication capabilities for working in a dynamic team environment and mentoring the junior scientist.
