Job Summary/Position Overview Under direction of the Resident Care Director, the Staffing Scheduler manages the scheduling and oversight of care department staff to ensure adequate staffing mix aligned with budgeted staffing requirements. The Staffing Scheduler will respond to calls received after 6pm and on weekends to ensure staffing and scheduling concerns are addressed. Success in this role is measured by: * Resident care staffing levels are met * Staff call-offs and PTO requests are addressed and managed * Staff budget and overtime is managed effectively (with Resident Care Director oversight) * New employees are provided with schedules that meet their availability Key Duties and Responsibilities: * Create and manage Templates in Onshift to match staffing requirements and budget * Create master block schedules and ensure they are kept updated for Resident Assistants, Med techs and Nurses * Post the schedule in Onshift at least 2 weeks in advance * Fill all open shifts for Resident Assistants, Med Techs and Nurses by contacting back up associates according to established procedures using OnShift messaging * Prepare, print and post daily assignment sheets for Resident Assistants, Med Techs and Nurses based on master block schedule * Communicate open shift hiring needs to the Resident Care Director and Business Office Director * Coordinate delivery of master block schedule to newly hired care department staff * Train new employees on using the OnShift application to access their schedules, request shifts and respond to messages as well as use the Wallet/Pay Active feature * Review dashboard in OnShift * Reconcile missed punches (scheduled not punched) * Reconcile punched not scheduled * Review punch variance report and contact staff members with early/late punch patterns * Ensure call offs are logged in OnShift * Take staffing calls after 6pm and weekends * Manage and track on call hours * Notifiy department manager of pending PTO requests * Print approved PTO requests for Business Office Director * Review OnShift Time and Attendance reports and ensure employees are compliant with internal punch policy * Participate in weekly labor management discussions in coordination with Resident Care Director and Executive Director * Notify Resident Care director of overtime to cover shifts
