Must be Vaccinated -***Manual Machining Experience Required***Possible Temp to PermKey role in toolroom to prepare metal and repair basic dies. Strong manual machining background will be used as well as some CNC programming. The successful candidate will be dependable, reliable, be able to take initiative and willing to learn.Job Description: -1. Operates and maintains manual lathe and milling machines.2. Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production and takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.3. Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task and plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. Determines specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gauging tools performing required inspection before, during and after machining.4. Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary and maintains inventory of completed products.5. Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.6. Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.7. Maintains a safe and clean workstation.8. Plans the setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feed and speeds.9. Performs hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Uses hand tools of the trade. Heat treats as required.10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED:1. Excellent coordination and mechanical skills2. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety3. Solid written and verbal communication skills4. Proficient in math5. Intermediate computer skills6. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks; Any lifting beyond 25 pounds will require a buddy system or the use of a hand tool for support.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:1.
