Part Time Babysitter

Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The babysitter is responsible for the care, supervision and feeding of children aged 3 months to 6 years of age. They will be engaging and overseeing the safety of children and using supplies provided by the JCC. The babysitter to child ratio will be maximum 1:8 with up to 3 strollers.

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT:

* The hours will start part time Sunday, Tuesdays and Thursday from 8:30-12:30 and days will increase as we have more attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be 18+ years old
* Must have up to date CPR and First Aid training (provided by JCC if needed)
* Warm and loving disposition
* Previous experience in childcare
* Ability to manage and engage a group of babies, toddlers, and children simultaneously
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Track babysitting usage and reservations. Monitor who is in the room and who needs to be picked up
* Maintain sign-in sheets and parent/guardian contact information
* Provide and maintain a friendly, clean, and safe environment
* Happily, sit on the floor and engage with children through play to keep children engaged and content
* Contact parent/guardian if needed to take child to the restroom or change a diaper
* Document all health risk concerns and incidents and report to management
* Communicate well with the parents and children.
* Keep toys and books clean and well maintained daily
* Ensure space is sanitized for safety

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, employees are required to regularly talk, hear, reach with hands and arms regularly required to talk, hear, the ability to walk, stoop, squat, bending, kneel or crouch. In addition, be comfortable Lifting of 25 pounds or greater
