Kohler Distributing Company , a leading beer, wine, and spirits wholesale distribution facility in Hawthorne, NJ, is looking for quality, full-time CDL Local Delivery Drivers to join our team and help fulfill our commitments to our customers. Open to all qualified candidates, the position is unionized with Teamsters Local 11. Base hourly pay for drivers starts at $16.82, plus commission. This does not reflect the full earning potential of the position---which is up to $55,000 to $60,000 in the first year alone. Rates are as follows: First loads include 8 hours of guaranteed pay. Second loads are paid at 7.2 hours per load. Standard federal (FLSA) overtime rules apply. Commissions are based on load size and piece count. Every newly hired driver will also be paid a $2000 retention bonus over the course of the first year of employment. $500 for completing training and $500 each for reaching 6, 9, and 12 months of employment After a successful 90-day probationary period, Drivers also receive our superb benefits package, including: Union Membership FREE medical and dental insurance 13 paid holidays 401(K) Profit sharing/Match (After first year) Paid vacation, sick, and personal days begin after a year and increase with length of employment. To qualify as a driver, applicants must: Possess a valid CDL Driver Class A or B license and medical card. Have a clean driving history and meet our Safe Driving Policy guidelines. Be physically able to push, pull, lift, and deliver to customers efficiently. Driving knowledge of North Jersey is a plus. Knowledge of driving a manual transmission is strongly encouraged.
