This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeProvide oversight for and conduct 2nd line compliance and controls testing for a portfolio of Meter to Cash, Customer and Energy Efficiency regulatory and operational compliance, processes, and obligations. Responsible for the coordination/scheduling of work, reporting and providing status updates to the leadership team. Provides mentorship, guidance and direction to junior controls and compliance analysts.Key AccountabilitiesResponsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of 2nd line controls for Meter to Cash, Customer and Energy Efficiency programs to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, accuracy and completeness of their reporting, and compliance with laws and regulations
  • Responsible for preparing the scheduling of the controls testing activities and ensure adherence to the schedule and reporting of outcomes
  • Collaborate and build and sustain strategic relationships with internal and external partners
  • Provide mentorship, training and informal coaching to junior controls and compliance analysts
  • Evaluate the current state of the control environment, correlate findings and develop overall conclusions
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the Meter to Cash, Customer and EE control environment and identify process efficiencies
  • Prepare reports and presentations and facilitate meetings with key leaders and executives
  • Advise process owners in the definition of policies and procedures, roles and responsibilities, and setting goals for implementation
  • Help process owners management frameworks to evaluate/manage risk
  • Assess compliance with National Grid policies as well as contracts, KPI structure and ongoing vendor documentation for Regulatory, Legal and insurance purposes
  • Monitor the implementation of an effective risk management process
  • Assess the adequate and timely remediation of control deficiencies
  • Provide guidance and training on risk management and controls
  • Working collaboratively with other risk and control functions and external auditorsQualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required and 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
    • CPA Preferred
    • Vendor management experience
    • Experience with process management and improvements
    • Experience tracking compliance metrics
    • Experience implementing and performing controls/lines of assurance/audit management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to design and present information to leadership and senior management
    • Ability to prioritize, plan and coordinate multiple priorities
    • Problem solving and experience working with minimal direction
    • Ability to effectively work in a virtual environmentControl - Experience Required
      • Ability to identify operational and financial risks within key processes and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of the 2nd line control environment
      • Sense of urgency and ability work on multiple assignments
      • Continuous learning and implementation of best practices

        • Ability to manage internal and external relationships and building successful strategic partnerships
