pushed us towards new targets. The company is focusing on
innovative natural value-added, fermentation-based ingredients to
enhance taste, performance, functionality, and increase the shelf
life and freshness of bakery products meeting the needs of clean
label solutions.
Our US subsidiary is presently seeking to hire a Sales Manager to
accelerate the business growth in a fast-growing market segment of
clean-label ingredients.
Purpose of the positionThe main goal of the Sales Manager is to
find new business opportunities for growth and sales. Responsible
for achieving sales growth and profitability goals in the USA /
specified Key Accounts within the guidelines of the company's
overall business objectives.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with product
development, R&D, and purchasing contacts. The focus is on
successful sales execution as technical support can / will be
provided by our technical competence center.
- Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts; qualify
and quantify new account opportunities.
- Generate account-specific sales strategies to close
opportunities; provide accurate account forecasts.
- Assist in the development of new products and marketing
initiatives and supports global sales
- management with sales & marketing initiative projects.
Main DutiesThe Sales Manager has to carry out the following
specific tasks. Other tasks/functions may be assigned to meet
business needs. All quantitative goals and objectives are defined
on an annual basis in the yearly appraisal.
- Generate account-specific strategies to increase sales and
close opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets, and for assigned
regions and accounts; prepare and implement a comprehensive
territory plan
- Significantly grow the Key Account customer base in the
territory
- Identify up-sell opportunities within existing accounts;
qualify, and quantify new account opportunities
- Travels frequently to ensure continuous professional customer
support and customer satisfaction
- Organization of workshops/training for customers and arranges
field co-travel with Market Development, Product Managers, and
Technical Service Managers into the region/accounts
- Helps with creating various promotional materials for the North
American market and assists with setting up and participating in
trade shows
- Troubleshoots customer issues when necessary, and handles
customer complaints & complaint resolution liaising with Technical
Service, R&D and Sales Service Center
- Provides on-site customer product and application
presentations, -training and - demonstrations highlighting the
quality and benefits of the products
- Aligns market approach with other channel-to-market partners
and manages possible channel conflicts
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required. Specific degree in Food Science,
Chemistry, Baking Science, or Pastry Arts is desired.
- 5+ years of Sales and Key Account Management skills in the
baking industry
- Deep knowledge of the customer base and network within the
respective industries/territory
- Proven experience completing the sales cycle; including
targeting new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and
closing deals
- Further education and training: Good computer skills (Microsoft
Office, ERP)
- Bilingual is desired. (English / Spanish)

- Technical Skills are preferred to handle different projects and
solid Project Management knowledge to close sales in the most
effective way.

and identify any problems that a project may encounter and analyzes
the problem from different perspectives and provide the best
possible solution.
